Hear (listen and understand) God's Instructions to you through His word - Deuteronomy 4:10, Remember the day you stood before the LORD your God at Horeb, when he said to me, "Assemble the people before me to hear my words so that they may learn to revere me as long as they live in the land and may teach them to their children."
Receive (to take or accept) God's Instructions and apply them to your life - Genesis 26:12, Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.
Study what you learned - 2 Timothy 2:15, Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth
Practice (repeat it over and over to get better with it) and apply (make use of) what you learned in God's word to your life - James 1:22-24, But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
Be diligent (persistent and work hard) 1 Timothy 4:15Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.
